Xenoblade Chronicles 2 fan puts clocks in 4,320 hours of playtime

That would be 6 months!

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 offers up hours and hours of content for players to enjoy, all set across a very expansive game world. It's very easy to put in hundreds of hours on the game, but how about a few thousand? That's what one Japanese player has done, clocking in at 4,320 hours so far. That would be 6 months straight if you never stopped playing!

The Japanese superfan points out that he had some sort of health issue that kept him rather confined to his home, and lead to him playing a lot of Xenoblade Chronicles 2. At least it helped him pass the time!

Probably, but I wouldn't be surprised if he is still trying to get KOS-MOS...

he probably owns all the blades at lv99 too

I don't get it... probably because I've had KOS-MOS for a long while now...

Usually the last few blades take a very long while to get, KOS-MOS has the lowest odds so she is typically the last blade earned.

Oh really? I didn't know different blades have different odds of acquiring.

It's been a while since I last played, but do the Blades even level up? Wasn't it just the Drivers who level up?

The drivers level up... but blades have affinity charts; some that can take forever to complete.

Yeah, like I said. Blades don't have a "level 99"

I imagine the in-game timer is higher with the timer glitch.

Some of that time is probably spent away from the game as it plays itself. There are cases where you can set up your team in such a way that they will attack on their own and keep you alive, meanwhile you have a rubber band on your controller causing you to run in a circle and pick up loot.

But even beyond that, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is so jam-packed with playable content that it really could keep you that busy. Sure, some of it is menial grinding and collecting of materials, but it stays fun and interesting for longer than most games I've owned.

I remember encountering someone who reached 10,000 hours of F-Zero GX about 6 years after the game had come out. I did the math, and he averaged a little under 5 hours per day on average.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 came out on December 1st, 2017. Counting each day, up to today, June 17th, 2019, this player would've averaged about 7 hours 40 minutes per day to get that number.
