The situation for MARI Mobility Development Co. Ltd., formerly known as MariCAR, just keeps getting worse and worse. When Nintendo originally lost a battle with the patent authority over the then-MariCAR name, Nintendo promised to keep fighting in court. That lead to Nintendo winning a legal battle, MariCAR using Mario costumes anyway, and then Nintendo winning two more related legal battles.

That brings us to today, where we learn that the recent ruling in favor of Nintendo finds that MARI Mobility Development Co. Ltd. should pay nearly $461k to Nintendo in compensation. As for what MARI Mobility Development Co. Ltd. actually does, that remains to be seen.
