RUMOR - Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled datamining reveals new characters on the way

We know that Spyro is coming to Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled in the future, but could there be other characters on the way? A dataminer claims to have found mention of quite a few characters in the game's latest update, and they might be joining the playable roster sometime later in the year. The list of datamined characters is as follows.
