Do you have any valuable cards in your Pokemon TCG collection? How about a card worth $60k? That's how much Trainer No. 3 is worth, due mostly to how rare the card is. Unfortunately, Trainer No. 3 has gotten a lot more rare recently, as one of the cards sold at auction seems to have up and vanished.

eBay seller Pokemonplace sent Trainer No. 3 out Aramex, a third party company that then sends the package out to the person who bought the card. The problem is, the Aramex claims they never received the card. Trainer No. 3 was sent as part of a bulk package to Aramex, which did indeed sign for that package, but never got the actual card.

“My responsibility was to ship the card to Aramex [...] a middle man company that then ships the card to the buyer. The tracking information I have was with registered mail and shows tracking and a signature. Aramex claims they haven’t received it and signed for a bulk lot.” - Pokemonplace

You might be wondering about insurance to cover the card, and there was indeed an insurance cover of $50,000, the highest that you can insure an item via the mail through this service. The thing is, since Aramex signed for the bulk package without actually verifying Trainer No. 3's inclusion in the package, an insurance claim cannot be filed.

Where is the card now? No one knows, and there are only theories surmising what happened to it. It's not like you can just steal a $60k card and sell it openly! Was it stolen, lost, or never sent in the first place? For now, we don't have any clue, and it seems things might stay that way.
