The 3DS is pretty much dead when it comes to new content. The platform has been dead for quite some time, with most fans moving on to the Switch. Now with the Switch Lite on the way, surely Nintendo is going to kill off the 3DS hardware lineup, right? Not so, according to Nintendo's Doug Bowser.

“We’ll continue to support our 3DS family of systems as long as there is demand.”

While there might not be any new games in the works for 3DS, Nintendo is still making money on the platform. Until the platform becomes unprofitable, they'll keep pumping out units.
