GN Version 5.0

Right from the first teaser poster for the Sonic the Hedgehog movie, fans were feeling uncomfortable. Something didn't seem right with Sonic's design, and things only became worse as we saw more and more of the character. When the first trailer it, it caused a huge wave of anger and disbelief across the internet. That negative reaction was quick to hit the team working on the film, including executive producer Tim Miller.

In an interview with Variety, Mr. Miller discusses the reaction from fans, and how he actually agreed with them.

“Look, I was with fans and so was Jeff. When the s–t hit the fan, I went over there and said, “The most important thing to do, man, is say, ‘I f–ked up.’ He’d already sent a tweet out an hour before I got there. He’s a good man. It was exactly the right way to handle that. The fans have a voice in this too. There’s a right way to listen.”

The question is, has Miller seen the redesign? Turns out he has...

“in fact I have. And I think the fans will be pleased.”
