Zero Escape series creator says new installments could happen if fans want them

It could happen...

Kotaro Uchikoshi is busy putting the finishing touches on AI: The Somnium Files, but that doesn't mean he's forgotten about his previous works. Uchikoshi built up quite a following with his Zero Escape franchise, but there hasn't been a new installment in a number of years. Should we consider the series done, or is there room for more? Uchikoshi was asked about the potential for new installments by Japanator, to which he answered, "If the fans desire it, there’s always a possibility." In other words, if you want it to happen, start making some noise!

I'm not sure. While I enjoyed all three games, I felt that the quality decreased noticeable with each one.

I definitely want that! It's a great series.

Yesssss! This would be great.

I think a Switch port of the first 3 games would do well.

Looks like this man is going to get pestered on social media a lot in the future...pestered by me that is!

The only way I would possibly support the idea of another Zero Escape would be if they completely remade ZTD. It was the worst possible finale to the franchise. It had plot holes, dangling plot lines from ZE1 and 2, and assassinated all of the recurring characters.

ZE3 is overhated. While the story had bad parts to it, the core of the game, the puzzle rooms, the gameplay itself was top notch as always, and the story was highly entertaining to follow with good highlights, and the music was great, too. People compain about the animation, but it ended up being much more pleasant to watch since it's basically a 10 hour anime instead of just a more static visual novel. Overall it still tops many other popular puzzle games.
