Nintendo is keeping a close watch on streaming, says Doug Bowser

The hot topic on the game industry's mind right now is streaming. It seems like multiple companies are looking into streaming tech to take game distribution into a new realm. Of course, everyone wants to know what Nintendo thinks of streaming. Longtime fans know Nintendo focuses on game ideas first, and not the tech that powers them. Still, Fortune asked Nintendo's Doug Bowser to comment on the streaming hype, to which he said the following.

“The Switch delivers on a lot of the promises [of streaming]. It’s a device where you can play anywhere, at any time, with anyone. It’s obviously something that we’re closely watching, and looking at, and understanding."
