The Witcher has had a really big day, as Netflix debuted the teaser trailer for their adaptation to a lot of praise from fans. Following that reveal, Executive Producer/Showrunner Lauren Hissrich took to Twitter to answer some questions. Here's what she had to say.

- the show is 'coming soon,' but she can't share a release date yet
- Geralt's dry wit is on display
- Geralt will wear a hooded cloak in some part of the series
- on the topic of recasting of Renfri, Marilka and the reshoots: Recasting happens for many reasons, often which have nothing to do with actors themselves. We wanted to make sure every moment of this show was perfect and that meant reshooting a few key scenes at a later date — when original actors may have not been available. Its always tough!
- you will see other Witchers
- Dandelion will be in the show
- the show will dive into Yennefer's past, as Hissrich wanted to know more about who she was
- there are Easter eggs in the show for fans to suss out
- the show will also explore what happens 'between the lines of the books'
- the hardest part of making the show was figuring out how to approach the story
- intolerance, racism, relationships, love, and work going unrewarded will all be covered
- the team hopes this season is 'completely fulfilling in and of itself, while leaving juicy threads open for the future'
- the Netflix show is a mix of what's in the books and new content
- there are 8 episodes in the first season
- there will be lots of monsters, but specifics can't be shared yet
- the team filmed some portions at Ogrodzieniec Castle in Poland
