That's actually pretty hilarious. I'd love to see a translation of their review(s) of Omega Labyrinth Life.

My guess is that games like Omega Labyrinth Life are pretty common in Japan and are laser-tuned to the gaming otaku. Odds are there are the Famitsu review team has at least some of them. (From a few weeks ago, for instance, compare Famitsu's score for Muse Dash, which is much higher than Edge's.)

Different countries develop different ideas for what's entertaining for them. I can't stand most Bollywood movies, for instance, as I didn't grow up on them. On the other hand, Slumdog Millionaire appealed very well to American and European audiences but failed in India because it followed a narrative style designed to appeal to westerners and not Indians.

Heh, and Lethal League Blaze takes a close 2nd.
