Pre-release footage/reviews of Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden Deluxe Edition on Switch were based on an older build by accident

GN Version 5.0

Reviews of Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden Deluxe Edition on Switch have been pretty great when it comes to gameplay, but somewhat poor when it comes to visuals. Multiple outlets put together reviews and footage based on a pre-release copy, and unfortunately, it seems that version wasn't up-to-date.

Word from the PR firm involved with the game noted that an older build was uploaded to the server, and that's what reviewers were working off of. That gameplay footage isn't representative of the final build, which is available now, complete with a day-one patch.

If you saw reviews or footage and were holding off on grabbing the game, it might be worth a second look. See where that footage came from, and if the review you read was a launch-day review. Impressions could change greatly based off of the version consumers are playing now.

The day-one patch for the game makes improvements to graphical fidelity, detail, and performance. This is applied to both the retail version, and the digital option.
