Amazon cancelling preorders for Killer Queen Black (UPDATE)

Over the weekend, we posted about the Amazon listing for Killer Queen Black here in the states and in the UK as well. Both have the game listed for a release in late Sept. 2019, although nothing is confirmed yet. Unfortunately, Amazon.com started sending out emails last night to cancel preorders for customers. It sounds like orders might have been cancelled due to the listing originally showing an earlier release date that came/went. Hopefully things get explained soon, and people can lock in their preorders again.
UPDATE - The publisher has reached out to us with a statement.
