Power Stone producer would love to make a new installment, thinks Switch would be a 'particularly great fit' for a sequel

More power to ya

There have only ever been two Power Stone games, and the last one came out all the way back in 2000. Isn't it time for a new installment? Power Stone producer Takeshi Tezuka thinks so, and he'd like to have a crack at making one for the Switch. Here's what Tezuka had to say about the idea in an interview with The Guardian.

“We weren’t just aping current trends or reiterating what had come before, and that has contributed to its lasting appeal. I still get messages from fans about the game. People tweet requests to me to make another Power Stone, which I’d love to do if I got the chance. It would be a particularly great fit for the Nintendo Switch.”

Let's do this. A new Powerstone at this time of the year at this time of day localized entirely on the Switch. I want to see it

I would ugly cry tears of joy if this ever happened.

Has someone Capcom's bank account number?

Here's one of those games I heard was great and I've always wanted to try. I think only Sega has Capcom beat in wasting franchises by letting them fade away.

Just give us a quick Power Stone 1 + 2 remaster and put it on Switch. It sounds like a great idea for a console that invites couch multiplayer.

It's a very unique take on the fighting game that remains untouched to this day. I'd like to see more of it.

I love Power Stone and I'd be down for a remaster of the first two while we wait for Power Stone 3! Make Amiibo for it too!

Yo, CAPCOM. Feel free to release a Power Stone collection on the Switch to gauge fans' interest in a sequel.

I second that! And I double dog dare ya, Capcom!

As amazing as this sounds, its probably too late for this to even make a reality. At this rate, its best that it stays forgotten unless Capcom actually does decent marketing for this one.
