Square-Enix says Final Fantasy VIII Remastered is digital only

This one is a bit confusing, but I guess there was just some miscommunication along the way. There have been a handful of retailers who shared retail listings for Final Fantasy VIII Remastered, but Square-Enix themselves never said one was coming. It's not unheard of that retailers accidentally share this information early, but in this case, it seems they were completely wrong. A press release from Square-Enix in Japan states clearly that Final Fantasy VIII Remastered is digital-only. Unless there's something sneaky going on here, I'd say things are a done deal.
