Yuzo Koshiro explains why the Switch is an attractive platform to develop for, notes Nintendo's attention to indies

Words from the man himself

Yuzo Koshiro may be known for his many, many amazing soundtracks, but he also helps develop games as well. As a matter of fact, he's working on the Gotta Protectors sequel for Switch right now! In an interview with Nintendo Life, Koshiro talked about what he likes about working with Switch.

I think that Switch as a gaming platform is very attractive for small game development companies like us. Contrary to the old and unique consoles until 3DS, Switch has a relatively new and common architecture, like a PC. They also offer the development kit at an affordable price. It seems like Nintendo recently gives more importance to Indie games.

Good. Many times indies are more exciting than modern AAA games.

I wonder what happened to his company Ancient. Like he could totally bring it back to its roots and make interesting games on Switch.
