Nintendo's "new experience for Switch" accessory might have popped up in patents from 2015

Does the above image look familiar to you? That collection of patent doodles comes from all the way back in 2015. We shared the news at the time, and as we always say, just because Nintendo patents something doesn't mean they'll ever bring it to the market. In this case, it looks like Nintendo might have been tinkering with the idea for this accessory ever since! There's certainly some changes to the design since the patent image above, but the same basic idea is definitely on display.
