Dear Reader:
The Super Mario Bros. Super Show cartoon is getting turned into a fan-made game
The Super Mario Bros. Super Show is an interesting part of Nintendo history. Part live-action, part animated, and all pretty weird. In this case, the weirdness really worked for the show, and made millions of fans the world over. One of those fans is Jesus Lopez, an animator who has worked on The Simpsons Tapped Out, Ducktales Remastered and Shantae 1/2 Genie Hero. He's so much of a fan that he's taken on the project of turning the Super Mario Bros. Super Show animated series into a game.
In the video above, you can get a good look at how things are progressing so far, and the work is already impressive. There's obviously a lot left to be done, and Lopez is only one man. He'll continue to work on and see what he can churn out, all while hoping Nintendo doesn't swoop in and shut things down.
