RUMOR - Nintendo has caught the Pokemon Sword and Shield leaker

They're going to be in some BIG trouble

There's a reason why we haven't been reporting on any of the leaked Pokemon Sword and Shield news. That info was stemming from a stolen copy of Pokemon Sword and Shield, which was then distributed online. Obviously, Nintendo and Pokemon Co. haven't been too happy about the situation, but rumor has it they've finally tracked down who started their nightmare.

While we don't have information on who it was, we're hearing that Nintendo used a single profile pic to do some backwards digital detective work to hunt down the leaker, who was eventually unearthed via a Facebook profile. I can only imagine what kind of Hell awaits this leaker.

People complain about all types of stuff. Many complaints about Call of Duty and FIFA but they will stay on the charts every year until the next iteration comes out. Bottom line- people complain but still go out and buy. It's going to be huge.

Leakers! Gotta Catch 'em All!

The only thing they’re leaking now is peepee in their pants

Or blood out of their throats or money out of their wallets through a lawsuit.

It will be interesting to see how well this game performs. A lot claim that a lot of pokemon are removed and argued that its not worth 60$.

It’ll sell more than US/UM I bet.

EXACTLY! And this can be a problem. Just look at the mobile market. People complain and complain but still throws money at these "games" and then there will be more of it. Mario Run vs Mario Kart is the perfect example...

Sword and Shield will be huge this Christmas.

Honestly, though I was going to buy the game anyway and I've been trying to steer clear of leaks, this has built my hype up for the game.

The new Pokemon they've showed off aren't very interesting and while I like to discover new Pokemon as I play, some of these are too cool to hold back on. I really thought we'd get a Pokemon Direct shortly before launch and while they usually only announce them a few days ahead of time, with a Smash one coming up tomorrow, it seems unlikely.

People are PO'd about this game--Pokemon Company should recognize that and change whatever their plans were/are for releasing info to help drum up hype.

That said, I don't like leakers whether they got the info from a stolen copy or not because it ruins the feed of information and sometimes can spoil huge parts of the game that fans are waiting to discover themselves. I hope this person gets punished for theft and for leaking the info but I don't want their life to be ruined or anything.

Have we ever heard specific punishments for leakers before?

I've never heard of specific punishments but I know that Nintendon't play that. Forget about throwing the book at you, they throw the whole damn library!

Nintendo Ninjas - I only met them once (Kevin remembers) - they are deadly.

Likely a low level random employee working for a third party involved in the printing of they guide books. They will lose their job, and find a new one. That is what will come of it.....if the story that Nintendo has tracked down the culprit and can prove it was them.

Bet they provided people with different info on which pokemon are excluded and caught them

I think there was more than one leaker though
