People who think reviews are paid for are almost up there with flat earthers and antivaxxers for there level of conspiracy beliefs.

Looks good! I'm excited. I'll admit, I was a bit worried, but a lot of the reviews I've seen have praised the games and their direction. They're not perfect, surely, but that should be obvious from any game.

Sadly a lot of these review scores will be ignored and called "Paid". I seriously question anyone who thinks Paid reviews exist today, the amount of negativity towards this game is really depressing.

Considering how many people seem to take review scores seriously enough to sway their decisions and how lots of mediocre to bad things get high praise from reviewers (glaring at you new Star Wars) it's hard to imagine reviewers not getting paid for good scores... anymore reviews are practically a form of advertisement...

The idea that because reviewers have a different opinion than a mass amount of screaming fans doesn't mean they're getting paid off for reviewing. I really enjoyed the new Star Wars, it has it's issues but I didn't think those issues took away from the overall experience.

We see just as many bad reviews as we do good reviews, I don't know why everyone thinks there has to be this huge conspiracy and underhanded money in play if opinions don't completely align. Reviews are opinions, and more often than not everyone thinks the same way. Who are we actually supposed to believe? The fans who've had an outright bias against said product before even touching it, or reviewers who have actually played through the game in its entirety and tried to give their best opinion.

Even if reviews are a form of advertising, I assume you that many companies prefer the honest constructive criticism rather than paying off a specific outlet to say exactly as they want. There's also this weird idea that if you've become a reviewer you're somehow automatically shady and will accept underhanded money, and that in itself is funny. The people who became reviewers in the first place are those who want their thoughts known, both good and bad.

People who think reviews are paid for are almost up there with flat earthers and antivaxxers for there level of conspiracy beliefs.

Well that's not fair... you have to be a special kind of dumb to be a flat earther... I mean, do you know how easy it is to debunk that one? Time-zones... there, I debunked it!

The IGN reviewer is an obsessive, so I'd take her 93 with a grain of salt.

I hear the reviewer acknowledges the flaws, but basically decides to ignore them... *sigh* ...I mean, really? Look, there's nothing wrong with enjoying crap, but don't pretend enjoying it means it isn't crap...
