Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp getting paid 'Pocket Camp Club' service on Nov. 21st, 2019

Damn you, Nook!

A recent announcement in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp has revealed a major change for the game. A paid service called 'Pocket Camp Club' is coming on Nov. 21st, 2019. You can read up on the full details below.

In one plan, you'll be able to appoint one lucky animal as your camp caretaker and get some extra help around the campsite. In the other plan, you'll be able to receive fortune cookies and store your furniture and clothing items in warehouses.

That's two different plans to choose from! We'll provide more details in videos that are coming out Nov. 20th, 2019.

I'm not a Pocket Camp player myself, but pretty sure it's already filled with microtransactions. A subscription service for the mobile games isn't a terrible idea, but adding that onto already existing microtransactions like in Mario Kart just seems like too much. Let's see how the community reacts...

It's going the same way as the Gulliver debacle. However the whales and young kids will just block any boycotts like how the boycotts against Fortune Cookies and Leaf Tickets failed due to the whales and kids.

And Gulliver won't be completely fixed from that backlash either. So even if stink was raised for the pass, Nintendo won't allow it to be fully fixed, but only issue some half-assed restitution like extra Bells.

I guess it worked with Mario Kart and now will try it with Animal Crossing :/

This is what you wanted. This what you celebrated in March 2015.

Some of us haven't forgotten.

I think I only played this game for three weeks before uninstalling it. There was just so little content and all the framework they needed for microtransactions.

And to think Animal Crossing sounded like a good idea for a mobile game.
