Pokemon Sword appears to be outselling Pokemon Shield in Japan
Sword beats Shield
While we don't have the official numbers yet, early indicators from retailers in Japan points to Pokemon Sword beating out Pokemon Shield in the first week of sales. Three different retailers have stated that Sword is the better-selling game, with one chain saying Sword is outselling Shield at a ratio of 6:4. We'll find out the final first-week numbers come this Wednesday!
