GN Version 5.0

Those who have a Switch in Hong Kong and South Korea will soon be able to use the full Switch eShop, instead of using a web browser to purchase download codes. The official Switch eShop launches in those regions on Dec. 17th, 2019, and will offer the following options.

- purchase and download games directly through Switch
- ability to top up funds with a credit card or prepaid card
- ability to download games and demos directly on the Switch
- ability to earn My Nintendo Gold Points and use them for eShop purchases. 5% of the value is rewarded for digital purchases, while 1% of the value is rewarded for physical purchases
- automatically renew Nintendo Switch Online subscriptions
- expect an “iccreasing number” of downloadable software available on the eShop
