GN Version 5.0

The Japanese version of Indie World dropped earlier, and we have a write-up of everything that was showcased plus time stamps. For good measure, we added blurbs for the titles that haven't been released just yet!

- Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin (0:51)
The gameplay of Sakuna gives us a look at new environments, costumes and the game's crafting system. In addition, we see Sakuna working the fields proper in a more 3D environment. By working your way in the fields, certain characters statistics will grow. The game is coming in 2020.

- What the Golf (2:24)
In What The Golf, players will go through crazy courses with one goal in mind: reaching the end. Every set of levels plays with your expectations, and throws a new curve your way. From racing in a car to shooting in a soccer goal. Expect the unexpected!

- Eastward (3:06)
Eastward is one of the games showcased in the previous western Indie World presentation. The new footage gives us a closer look at the title in motion, more of a gameplay sense. The spirit work is absolutely stylish and beautiful to behold. The attacks of the characters are shown, and there is a distinct focus on the exploration. Eastward is coming in 2020.

- PHOGS (4:01)
You control a two headed dog through lush 3D landscapes, all the while solving puzzles. The environments are based of the various dog desires, including sleep and play. The footage starts with a look at the eat portion of the journey, with more varied footage followed thereafter. The game is coming Spirng next year.

- SYNAPTIC DRIVE (5:08)
A game we haven't seen before in a Nintendo Switch presentation! SYNAPTIC DRIVE is a strategic, high-paced arena battle game that won awards at the last two Tokyo Game Shows. The director, Kouji Kenjo, has been responsible for the Custom Robo series in the past. The set-up of battling is simple to understand, but you will quickly learn how much is going on. Players will ultize guns, trackers and wires to hunt down opponents in high octane online action. Your character is fully customizable, allowing you to find your way to play. A battle between the two hosts is shown. SYNAPTIC DRIVE is coming Spring 2020.

- Killer Queen Black (6:26)
Killer Queen Black obviously doesn't need any more introduction, but cool to see the game heading to Japan. The game will release Spring next year.

- Ori and the Blind Forest (8:02)
Just like KQB, we won't overly much time gushing about Ori, but we should totally check out the game if you haven't. The game is out now for 2052 yen.

- To The Moon (9:42)
To The Moon, which originally released all the way back in 2011, is coming to Nintendo Switch. The game follows two doctors fulfilling a dying man's final wish using his memories. There aren't many gameplay mechanics in the traditional sense, with To The Moon focusing on narrative and exploration. To The Moon releases on January 16, 2020 for 1200 yen.

- Coffee Talk (10:06)
Coffee Talk is a story driven adventure where you are flung into a different world. Fantasy creatures are living in the streets of Seattle, and have their day-to-day problems to deal with. You, the barista, will have to listen to their problems and help them out in any way you can. Players are tasked with creating the perfect drinks, and win them over to your side. The game already has an English demo on the Japanese Switch eShop, in case you are curious. The game releases on Janaury 30, 2020 for 1600 yen.

- Fight Crab (10:33)

- Graveyard Keeper (11:00)
A very short look at the game, which is coming out this winter in Japan. Graveyard Keeper is the most inaccurate medieval cemetery management sim of the year. Build & manage your own graveyard while finding shortcuts to cut costs, expand into entertainment with witch-burning festivals, and scare nearby villagers into attending church. This is a game of capitalism and doing whatever it takes to build a thriving business.

- Lonely Mountains Downhill (11:27)
Lonely Mountains: Downhill is a Downhill Mountain Biking Game focusing on responsive and fun controls, an open level design and an untouched nature in a low poly style. The game is pretty addictive from what we've played. The game is coming in Spring 2020 for 2499 yen.

This was one of the games showcased in the western presentation, but with different gameplay. You will embark on a sailing adventure about classic naval action and exploring beautiful scenery.
