Japanese hardware/software sales for Dec. 16th to Dec. 22nd, 2019

Japanese sales data has been released for the final week leading up to the holiday season! Pokémon Sword and Shield had the best selling week of the month, with 288,199 more copies sold (231,578 the previous week). Luigi's Mansion 3 saw quite a sales boost, going from #4 on the charts last week (48,449 sold), to #2 this week, moving 78,903 copies. Notably, the top 10 best selling software this week are all Nintendo Switch titles. Hardware has no sign of slowing down for Nintendo either, as the Switch continues to be the best selling console this week. Selling 291,485 units between the Switch and Switch Lite, it seems as though quite a few people will be finding a Nintendo Switch under their tree this year.
