More information from Nintendo president Shuntaro Furuwaka's interview with Nikkei is coming in, and he shared some other juicy tidbits besides mention of his favorite recent Switch title.

Furukawa was asked about Nintendo's approach to new technologies, as some might perceive Nintendo to lag behind in those areas, while companies like Apple are seen as diving headfirst into new tech. Furukawa fired back at those acusations, saying that the Big N is constantly researching and developing new tech, with hardware and software teams talking to one another about what could be used in a game. Furukawa did specifically mentioned Augmented Reality as one of the many areas of tech they have interest in.

Furukawa was also asked about cloud gaming and its impact on traditional consoles. While Furukawa does think cloud gaming could become quite successful 10 years from now, he doesn't see any treat to dedicating gaming hardware at this time. With that said, Furukawa does believe that focusing completely on dedicated hardware for game-playing while ignoring other avenues would be quite pointless.
