Switch sells over 3 million units in France since launch, 2019 brings in best hardware sales for the platform yet

While the UK might not be all that big on Nintendo in general, France is completely the opposite. The French have a deep appreciation for Nintendo, and it's not unusual to see Nintendo hardware and software topping the charts each week. That has lead to some great support for the Switch, and the latest figures show just how good things are. Check out a round-up of details on Switch's success in France below.

- Switch is at 3.3 million units sold since launch in France
- 1.25 million Switch units were sold in France for 2019, making it the best year of Switch sales in the country yet
- 11% of French homes have a switch
- 30% of Switch users are women, and Nintendo is expecting this figure to grow due to Animal Crossing: New Horizons
- Pokémon Sword and Shield sold 650k copies in 2019
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe sold 502k copies in 2019
- Luigi's Mansion 3 sold 392k copies in 2019
- Ring Fit sold 120k copies in 2019 and is currently sold out
