Taking a Pokemon from Gen 3 to Gen 8 using Pokemon Home
The long way Home
If you're truly dedicated...if you really don't want to lose a Pokemon you've had for a long time, you can use Pokemon Home to help you hang on to your dear buddy. It's possible to take a Gen 3 Pokemon and bring them all the way up to Gen 8, as long as you've got the right setup and a lot of patience.
