Billion Road pushed back to April 16th, 2020 in NA/EU

The road to launch just got longer

Billion Road was originally supposed to come out in March 2020, but it looks like that's no longer happening. Listings for the game on both Nintendo.com and Nintendo.co.uk show a new release date of April 16th, 2020. The same goes for the Steam listing. No word on why the game was delayed at this time. For now, check out a refresher on the game below.

The core objective in Billion Road is pretty straightforward—travel all across Japan and earn more money than anyone else. You earn money by landing on property squares with investment opportunities, like a sushi restaurant in Ginza or an animation goods store in Akihabara. After you invest, you’ll have to wait until March rolls around for those investments to pay off. In the meantime, be on the lookout for errant monsters that may shower you with riches…or throw a wrench in your plans! You can also earn extra money by landing on item squares, which can either help you reach your own goals or simply ruin your rivals’ plans. If you finish the game with the most money…you win!

I wonder if this will go anywhere in the US? It only failed in Japan because they prefer Momotaro Dentetsu. I've always been interested in Momotaro Dentetsu after first hearing about it a few years ago, but it has been a strictly Japanese only series.

Maybe if Billion Road can get a second life in the US, that Konami would consider maybe bringing an updated Momotaro Dentetsu USA overseas?
