GN Version 5.0

The game EQQO on Nintendo Switch is inspired by Ethiopia's history. Not only by the old traditions and monuments but also by the recent record-breaking day when Ethiopia planted 350 million trees!

In EQQO the players can buy a DLC to plant a tree in-game and help a foundation do so in real life. A Bundle called EQQO + Donation is released today on Nintendo Switch.

My friend recently went to Ethiopia. It’s fascinating to see in real pictures the people and architecture that inspired Parallel Studio to make the game EQQO.

One of the main inspirations for the game are the UNESCO-listed rock-hewn churches of Lalibela, built by Christians directly inside the cliffs or the grounds. They contain frescoes painted a long time ago and are visited by pilgrims in traditional white clothes.

Ethiopia also made history recently. In just one day last year they planted a record number of 350 million trees. This inspired the creation of a DLC to let players plant a tree in-game and in real life. All the net revenues received by the sales of the DLC go to the NGO WeForest.

A Bundle was released today in the American, European and Oceanian Nintendo Switch eShop by Nakana.io to purchase the game EQQO and the DLC #EqqoDonation together.
