Iron Galaxy has worked on a number of high-profile ports for the Switch, and some of the best features in those ports were championed by Iron Galaxy themselves.

In an interview with USGamer, Iron Galaxy's Adam Boyes opens up about working on the ports of Skyrim and Diablo 3 for Switch. In the case of Skyrim, it was Iron Galaxy who prototyped and suggested gyro aiming.

"Even Skyrim too, we did the gyro aiming as well, and that was one of those things where we had prototyped some of those ideas and then brought it to Todd Howard, and he just fell in love with that concept."

Iron Galaxy's desire to utilize Switch's unique features continued with their work on Diablo 3. The game supports 4-player co-op with 4 different controllers, and this was again the idea of Iron Galaxy. They got to work on the idea, and then garnered support from Blizzard to keep pushing forward on full implementation.

Boyes goes on to say that having passion for the platform you're working on makes a world of difference, and it's clear the team has a lot of love for Switch. This has served them really well in their various port collaborations.

"I think if we go back 10 or 15 years ago, work for hire was very much, 'please fulfill this problem or fix this one thing.' And now it's more about people [who] come to us and they trust our opinion, and they want to hear more about what things we could do to help make their product better."
