Animal Crossing: New Horizons - version 1.1.0 available, adds Switch item, NookLink coming launch day

The new version 1.1.0 update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons is now available. The most important feature added is obviously the fact that you now can play online multiplayer. That being said, there is more added to the mixture.

By downloading the update, you will be ready to participate in the Bunny Day festivities. The events will take place between April 1 and 12. That being said, Nintendo has noted that you can't time warp to the date. A version 1.1.0a patch will go out later, activating the event in full.

The update also preps the support for NookLink. The service, found within the Nintendo Switch Online application, release on March 20 at 13:00 JST (5AM CET, midnight EST). NookLink will allow you to scan in patterns, chat with friends and look up vital information.

A Nook Inc. rug will also be added on launch day. This new item can be purchased with Nook Miles, after which it will be delivered to you in the mail. You have to have an active Nintendo Switch Online membership to get hold of this reward. The data required will likely be available on the Nintendo eShop

As a thank you for downloading the update, you will receive in-game Nintendo Switch item. By touching it, the red Nintendo Switch screen will appear and the familiar click can be heard.  If you have the special Animal Crossing bundle, or more specifically the Joy-Con, you will also receive the special edition inside of Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
