Japanese hardware/software sales for Mar. 30th to Apr. 5th, 2020
Japanese hardware and software sales data for the week of March 30th, 2020 has officially been released. Surprising absolutely no one, Animal Crossing: New Horizons keeps its #1 sales position, selling another 423,367 copies. Slightly more shocking however, New Horizons actually sold more than Resident Evil 3 this week (189,490 copies), despite the remake only just launching on April 3rd. AC:NH has now already reached the 3 million physical copy milestone in Japan! One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 on the PS4 continues to outsell the Switch version, but only by about 1k copies this week. The Nintendo Switch family of systems continues to lead the hardware charts, with 154,640 more units moved between the Switch and Switch Lite. Almost twice as many Lite units were sold than the normal Switch, likely due to continued stock shortages. Check out the full top 10 list of software + all the hardware sales numbers below.
