Gary Whitta, writer on Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, has found major success with Animal Talking, a late-night talk show hosted within Animal Crossing: New Horizons. We've already talked about the show in and of itself, but since that original post, things have really been taking off for Whitta.

Even though the show is only a month old, major celebrities are lining up to appear. On tonight's show, you can expect to see Danny Trejo, Elijah Wood, and Greg Grunberg. In an interview with The Verge, Whitta says that both Trejo and Wood are legit Animal Crossing fans, as he's done pre-interviews with both and they know all about the series.

While tonight's show might be the biggest yet, there's even bigger surprises to come. Whitta says his show is booked through to the end of May, and he's hyping up some major appearances.

“I can’t say anything, but if I told you some of the guests we have coming on, you literally would not believe me. “It’s unbelievable.”

One person we know Whitta is going after is Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Whitta reached out to her on Twitter once AoC revealed that she's been playing, and it seems like things are coming together.

“She wants to do it. I want her to do it. We are working on dates. And I can’t tell you anything more than that, but if you ask me right now, I think she’s gonna do it.”)

Whitta also says that the show is attracting big attention from all areas of entertainment. He's getting calls from major record labels and publicists who are trying to get their stars on the show, and he's also receiving sponsorship deals from big brands. Pretty crazy for a late-night talk show that was created on the fly!
