Federal court says man's Switch Joy-Con drift claim must be arbitrated

Drifting into courts

The latest details in the Switch Joy-Con drift saga have come in. Zachary Vergara, a Switch owner who has experienced Joy-Con drift, must arbitrate his claim that Nintendo of America Inc. sold defective Joy-Con. This was decided by a federal court in the state of Illinois today. Whether Vergara's claim falls within its scope must now be decided by an arbitrator. Whatever ends up happening from here on out could have a major impact on all Joy-Con drift complaints going forward.

One thing this means is that it is not a court case - probably because the user agreement says it is not.

I hope it goes through, forcing a change in production making controllers that have the quality nintendo used to have for controllers.
