Super Monkey Ball/Yakuza producer Toshihiro Nagoshi shares his thoughts on Animal Crossing: New Horizons and the Switch's success

Animal Crossing's success is great for the industry

Super Monkey Ball and Yakuza producer Toshihiro Nagoshi has taken some time out of his busy schedule to pontificate about the success both the Switch and Animal Crossing: New Horizons have seen so far. He shared these thoughts during a recent SEGANama stream. You can find a summary of what Nagoshi said below.

- Nagoshi mentions how Animal Crossing: New Horizons sales are getting close to 20 million
- he believes this will show there’s a market for similar games
- if digital sales keep rising, it would show there's a new market when it comes to “casual” players buying digital games
- Nagoshi is pretty happy about the situation and how games are doing well, even if not from his own company

PUT YAKUZA ON SWITCH, YOU COWARD

You said it right before I was about to. lol

I forgot when the interview was, because I'm curious if he's changed his mind, but he did once say that the Switch wasn't the right platform for Yakuza.
