Dead by Daylight is an asymmetric horror game that asks players to survive by working together while a killer tries to stop them dead in their tracks. The game is a mix of original characters and horror icons like Freddy Kreuger, Michael Myers, Ghost Face, and others. It's a horror fan's dream come true, minus the omission of one genre icon.

The Friday the 13th series has no representation in Dead by Daylight, but that has nothing to do with a lack of interest from the dev team. Unfortunately, the Friday the 13th series has been caught up in a nasty legal battle for years now, which has stopped any new Friday the 13th content from coming out. That's why Friday the 13th: The Game had all of its updates and DLC plans stopped in its tracks.

If that legal battle ever clears up, the pathway to cameos could open once again. That would include a move to Dead by Daylight, and it's something Dead by Daylight game director Mathieu Côté is totally down for.

“Jason has a standing invitation to Dead by Daylight. Whenever he's ready, whenever he's done with whatever he's got going on in his life right now, he can come in. He's going to be welcomed with open arms.”
