Back at the end of May, the debut trailer for Yo-Kai Watch Jam: Yo-Kai Academy Y was shared. Following that trailer's release, we finally have some details to go over. Check out a breakdown of what the trailer had to offer below.

- Yo-Kai Academy Y is an “Academy City”, with every facility needed to live from shops to lodging
- the school has over 400 different clubs, each focusing on activities the students can use to improve themselves
- students can join any of these clubs to discover their hidden talent
- the school has something like a Student Mafia, which consists of delinquents
- the Student Mafia is approved by the academy’s top brass because “committing mistakes is also a way to learn”
- there's also Student Police trying to keep the peace in the Academy
- both groups are in opposition and fight each other
- power and influence at Yo-Kai Academy Y is divided between three leaders of three different institutions
- the institutions are the Student Council President, the Academy Director, and the Public Morals Committee Chairman
- the trailer hints at the presence of Yo-kai and supernatural elements in the academy
