Idc what else Nintendo has planned for this year. This game I've waited 20 years for a sequel. Its finally here! Thank you Nintendo/Pokemon Company/Bandai Namco/Game Freak. I couldn't be happier. My reaction was almost as big as when DKCR, Prime 4 and K.Rool in Smash were announced. So happy!

I couldnt agree more! This was the happiest announcement this entire year! Im 30 now and and I never thought I would see this day after the N64. My office-mates thought I lost my mind.

Very happy for you! The original is one of my wife's favorite games, and I've been hoping for a sequel since the Wii days. So happy for everybody. My son is going to love playing this with his Mama. Just wish my littlest one were still here: he loved Pokemon but was too little to read and thus play the main games. Obviously, that's not the main reason I wish he were still here, but he would have been so happy.

My jaw literally dropped when I realised it was Pokemon Snap. I loved Pokemon Snap on N64 and was just talking with my partner about how much we'd love to see a new one recently. I honestly thought it would never happen. So pleasantly surprised. I can't wait!

I wonder why HAL Laboratory, Inc. is not the developer of the sequel. They did a great job with the original, my only problem with it is how short it is.

Probably too busy working on the next mainline Kirby game and Kirby spin-off.

I don't think they've touched a Pokemon game since the DS days. Their focus is on Kirby and BoxBoy games now.

The megaton announcement!! So excited

I thought it was Snap from the beginning, but a part of me refused the excitement until they showed the camera gameplay. Super excited for it.

Just a reminder to the younger fans. Pokémon Snap on the N64 had 63 Pokémon out of 151. So don't expect all Pokémon here either.

Gyro controls? It looked to me like only stick controls were in use. I hope gyro is an option!

Well, I'll be. I don't know what I expected, but it wasn't this. This is something I've waited for for many years, so its hard to really say how happy I am.

I wonder if for the LOLs they'll support the Labo camera. (To be honest I don't think it's a question of will it support it, but if it'll be officially or modded support, since someone is gonna play using that.)

I'll bet there's a strong possibility. The first time they showed that Labo camera everyone was yelling "POKEMON SNAP!!!" I wonder if they'd consider the VR Labo as well.

I know the trailer says "under construction", but I wonder if there's a chance it won't look like a game from eight years ago when the game launches. The lighting doesn't look bad, but the way the Pokemon interact... it's like a bunch of janky canned animations. They look like game assets instead of living creatures.

Never played Snap but the comments here must assume that I might have missed out on a great game. I do however wonder why Bandai Namco decided to develop this game knowing they are better off with either licensed games or Dark Souls...

With social media sharing, this could be huge.

they better bring back the OG Professor Oak.. the real Oak.. not the one played by james's VA currently..

Considering that the new VAs have been doing it double the length of the OG cast it's pretty much impossible for them to do that I reckon. Though if it's anything like masters it'll be done by a different actor than the new anime actor, since that game used a CA voice cast as did Pokken.

Haha I wouldn't even be that mad if they reused the N64 voice clips.

My reaction to this was the same as Professor Oak when he sees a masterpiece of Pokemon photography:
"Wonderful!"

I thought the Wii would have been a great console to bring this back with the Wiimote motion controls back in the day. I'm even happier they chose the Switch! Looks great!
