GN Version 5.0

Earlier this week, fans discovered a Twitter account that appeared to be tied to the 35th anniversary of Mario. There have been rumors of multiple Mario games getting revamped/re-released in honor of the anniversary, but Nintendo is yet to say anything. This Twitter account gave fans renewed hope, and a bit of messing with the password recovery feature showed that the email could be tied to a nintendo.co.jp address. Nothing 100% confirmed mind you, but enough to create excitement.

This discovered has lead to fans scouring Twitter to see what else they can come up with, and today's discovery is quite interesting. Fans have found what appears to be an official Japanese Twitter account for the F-Zero series. It follows the exact same rules as the Mario Twitter account mentioned above, and returns the same n*******.**.** address. Furthermore, the Twitter account was created on March 16th, 2020, so it was not a reaction to the discovery earlier this week.

We still don't know if either of these accounts are legit. Even if they are tied to Nintendo, it could be a case of Nintendo protecting Twitter names just incase they had something to share. It's hard not to get hyped, and there's definitely some compelling evidence, but please remember that this is all just speculation for the time being. Nothing is confirmed until Nintendo says so.
