GungHo Online Entertainment America (GOEA) has announced that Volta-X, their upcoming real-time robot strategy battler, will support crossplay between Nintendo Switch and PC. Players on both platforms will be able to team up and form clans or battle each other online as they climb the ranks of the World Volta Association!

Later this summer, GOEA will hold a Limited Preview event on PC, where players will be able to try out the game for free and have a chance to hone their skills through online PvP matches, experiment with customization, and get a look at the single-player campaign. More details on the event will be available on a later date, but interested players should keep an eye on Volta-X’s official Twitter for updates!

If hands-on previews aren’t enough, GOEA also released a new webcomic available now, free on Webtoon for those who would like a taste of what is to come with the story of Volta-X. The comic showcases the unique art style of Volta-X and dives into the backstories of two of the game’s main protagonists, Ian and Sheldon. Both are on the verge of graduating from the Volta academy but need to pull off a heist to ‘borrow’ their own giant Volta robot for an upcoming tournament. This is just the beginning with part one of an entire webcomic series. The evolving story will continue with additional future comics for fans to immerse themselves in leading up to and after the game launches this summer.
