Netflix announces The Witcher: Blood Origin, a six-part, live-action limited series

The Witcher was a big hit for Netflix, and they're currently working towards filming the second season. The streaming service is also putting out The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, a standalone anime film. That's not the only spin-off content though, as Netflix has now announced a third Witcher project.

Netflix is working on The Witcher: Blood Origin, which is a six-part, live-action limited series. This show is being put together by Declan de Barra, along with The Witcher showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, and the author of the books, Andrzej Sapkowski. You can see an official synopsis for the project below.

1200 years before Geralt of Rivia, the worlds of monsters, men and elves merged into one, and the first Witcher came to be.
