Blizzard says they're "passionate about" and "exploring" cross-play for Overwatch

There's always a lot of work going on behind-the-scenes for Overwatch. New tweaks to the base game and work on the sequel keeps Blizzard busy, but they're also looking into some fan-requested features as well.

In a Reddit AMA with director Jeff Kaplan, one fan asked if cross-play will ever be implemented for the game. Kaplan gave a very straightforward answer by saying that cross-play is "something we're passionate about and exploring." Looks like the team has interest, but that feature isn't ready yet. Perhaps it'll make its way into the sequel.
