The 2020 GLAAD Media Awards have come to a close, and The Outer Worlds has managed to take home the win for Outstanding Video Game.

The GLAAD Media Awards honor various branches of the media for their representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer community. For the 2020 awards, the video game category included Apex Legends, Borderlands 3, The Outer Worlds, Overwatch, and The Walking Dead: The Final Season as nominees. The Outer Worlds nabbed the win for a companion character name Parvati, whose main questline involves her confiding in the player that she is asexual, and then asks for help in pursuing a romantic relationship with a female engineer, Junlei.
