GN Version 5.0

This week's issue of Famitsu contains an interview with Mages’ Chiyomaru Shikura, who was more than willing to discuss the upcoming Anonymous;Code. Check out a recap of the interview below.

- the game is still scheduled to release “Next Winter”
- the game will get a new announcement in 2020, where we’ll learn more about its release schedul
- the game is gradually taking shape
- the game was announced 3 years ago, and there are many elements and jokes included in the past that are now outdated
- the team is taking time to fix that content
- the Science Adventure games aren’t sequels to each other, but they’re all in the same universe
- the team is making sure there’s nothing which contradicts the other games in the series
- the protagonist Polon has the supernatural power of being able to load and save
- these are the same load and save functions the players will use
- there are scenes when Polon talks to the player, noticing there are new saves in the data that he didn’t do himself
- if the player doesn’t save before a certain scene and Polon doesn’t either, you won’t be able to redo that scene anymore
- the game will have some sort of special trick to make sure the players never get stuck
- this will also serve to help players who never save and only rely on Polon’s saves
- the scenario branches depending on how you use Save and Load, and also other functionalities such as the Manga Trigge
- Anonymous;Code was made with the assumption that it’ll get an anime adaptation one day, so there are tons of action scenes
- as the game is an ADV, you’ll have to imagine said movement and action scenes with the text
- the game has adapted a manga style
- players are able to pick certain dialogue lines and frames appearing, influencing the story to a certain degree
- this system is called the Manga Trigger
- the character designer of Anonymous;Code, Haruhisa Nakata, is also a mangaka
