Toby Fox gives an update on Delatrune's development, says things are going smoothly, no word on release date yet
Earlier today, we got some screens for Deltarune: Chapter 2, our first peek at the next installment in the series from Toby Fox, creator of Undertale. Those screens also came with some new details, courtesy of a Famitsu interview with Fox. Check out a recap of that interview below.
- Fox wrote a long report on Deltarune, but shortened it for those who don’t have internet access and can’t buy Famitsu
- most of the design work for all the Deltarune chapters is finished
- Fox finished writing the 1st draft of all the dialogue during cut-scenes
- Fox started working on Deltarune Chapter 2 a few months ago and it’s going well
- Fox hurt his wrist around 7 months ago but said to not worry, as a small team is helping him
- development of Deltarune Chapter 2 is going faster than for Chapter 1
- Fox is confident the development of Deltarune will go smoothly moving forward
- that said, he has no idea how many years it’ll take to finish the game
- Fox jokingly says to forget about him and Deltarune instead of constantly waiting
- when Deltarune is done, Fox would love to have Famitsu put it on its cover so everyone will immediately know
- Fox said he himself is the most hyped person for Deltarune‘s release
