GN Version 5.0

A unique part of Nintendo history just brought in over $31k at auction. The above cart may say Kid Icarus on the label, but the chips in that cart contain an early version of Super Mario Bros. 3. The cartridge is obviously one-of-a-kind, and it dates back all the way to February 1990. How or why this cartridge made it outside of Nintendo's offices and into someone's hands is anyone's guess, but now it's a part of a fan's collection!
