The Game Awards is still happening this year, and we've now been given a date to mark on our calendars. Streaming live on December 10th, the 2020 show will be bigger than ever (minus the lack of audience due to COVID-19), as the event will be streamed from not only Los Angeles, but also London and Tokyo. This year's show introduces the new "Innovation in Accessibility" award to commemorate devs working to help games be enjoyed by as many people as possible.

Here is what Geoff Keighley (producer/host of TGA) told Variety about the 2020 show following the announcement;

"The thing that I’m worried about more than anything is that – there’s so much anticipation for the show – is that we don’t have big games to announce to the fans, then that becomes a disappointment too. So I talked to all the game companies and they’re like ‘no, we’ve got great content to kind of show fans around games,’ and they’re really excited to show that. So yeah, it’s gonna be super interesting at the end of the year to see what comes out at the top."

Also via Variety, it's been confirmed that fans will be able to "participate and virtually interact with the show across social media, through live in-game experiences, and via interactive extensions on leading streaming platforms."

Look forward to the plenty of world premieres, announcements, live music, and of course, awards, at The Game Awards 2020 on December 10th, 2020. Hopefully some Nintendo Switch reveals are upon us, and perhaps Nintendo themselves will make an appearance?
