Koei Tecmo hosted a special live-stream session of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity for TGS 2020 Online, and with it came a round of new info. Check out the summary of details below, courtesy of PushDustIn.

- the aim with the game's visuals was to reproduce the style seen in Zelda: Breath of the Wild
- the Sheikah Stone will act differently with each character
- Zelda can perform Stasis on enemies
- enemies have a weak point gauge for counter-attacks
- you can pick up ingredients from treasure chests
- in one part of the gameplay, you can see Impa throw a slate that activates a tower, as well as a mini-Guardian
- Link can use the Sheikah Slate for remote bombs and the ice cube
- Impa can summon multiple versions of herself, and she is seen using a Fire Rod at one point
- weapons auto-guard sometime
- each character presents a different playstyle
- the team put a lot of focus on creating the world that existed 100 years before the events of Breath of the Wild
- when the team finished the original Hyrule Warriors, they thought they were done with the collab
- at this point, Eiji Aonuma approached the team and asked them to create another title, which lead to Age of Calamity
