GN Version 5.0

Rocket League recently moved to free-to-play, bringing a huge influx of players with it. Now those players can look forward to Season 1 Series, which starts up Oct. 19th, 2020. See what the season has to offer below.

Season 1's first new Series will start dropping next week, and it's bringing brand-new items to Rocket League. Leading the pack is the all new compact speedster known as Insidio. Check it out above and in the slideshow below!

Since this is the first new item Series since Rocket League went free to play, we want to bring new players up to speed. Items from the new Series can be unlocked two different ways: Blueprints or the Item Shop. After playing Online Matches, you'll have a chance of receiving a Blueprint. Blueprints show you exactly what item you can build. Just pay Credits to build the item from the Blueprint, and the item will be added to your inventory. Be on the lookout for Blueprints that unlock Painted or Special Edition item variants. These versions are extra-rare and alter the item's appearance with different colors or even holographic effects.

Blueprints, and the items you get from them, are tradable to other players on the same platform.

The other option is to check out the Item Shop, as new items from the Season 1 Series will begin appearing there too.

The Season 1 Series will include more than a dozen new items from Rare and Very Rare Decals and Wheels like the Bodacious Octane Decal and Shortquarter Wheels, to Black Market items like the Stipple Gait Decal and the extremely animated Buffy-Sugo Goal Explosion!

These items will be added with a game update that will go live on all platforms on October 19 (pending first-party certification). Going forward, new Series will be named after the Season in which they release. This way, players can easily identify when items were released. Be on the lookout for these new items from the Season 1 Series in Blueprints and in the Item Shop over the next few months and beyond.
