Alphanumeric Pinball Tables Join Zen’s Pinball Platforms for the First Time Ever in Williams Pinball Volume 6, Available Now

More classic pinball action

Ready for the next round of pinball tables? Pinball FX 3 has updated with Volume 6, which includes three more options. Check out what each table has to offer in the press release below.

Zen Studios, the global leader in digital pinball, has just launched Williams™ Pinball: Volume 6, featuring a nostalgic collection of alphanumeric pinball tables including Funhouse™, Space Station™, and Dr. Dude’s and His Excellent Ray™.

“I want to thank our passionate pinball community for their patience all year long,” said Mel Kirk, COO at Zen Studios. “It’s been way too long since our last pinball release, but good things take time and I really think we have given these tables the treatment they deserve. I am so happy to finally have alphanumeric games in our collection of pinball tables.”

The set is available for Pinball FX3 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Windows 10 and Steam, as well as the Williams Pinball app for iOS and Google Play.

Each table features a classic, true to form simulation, as well as a remastered version incorporating 3D interactive characters, side wall art, ball trail effects, particle effects and more.

Man, after playing digital pinball in VR, I really don't want to go back to a flat screen. I wish they would get these Williams tables running in VR and I'd be in pinball heaven.

What pinball did you play in VR exactly? Im going to a friends who has VR this weekend and would love to try it.

Pinball FX2 has a VR version on the Quest or PC. It's really rad feeling like you are actually standing in front of a 3D pinball table, and you can lean in to look at the board when you need to read something.

The only issue is that I've never really been a huge fan of Zen's digital pinball table designs. If they were to make these Williams/Bally designs available in VR, however, it would instantly become the thing I use my headset for most. Sadly, I don't think it's where their profits are at, so its probably pretty low priority for them.
